What is "WEB Service"?

1.Overview of the WEB Service

WEB Service is a library service available online.
Checking your lending situation, request books purchase and inter library loan and other services can be performed.
This service is available for person who belongs to this institute and has Library ID.

2-1.Messages

【Information from library】
Item nameDescription
Date The date that the messages announced are displayed.
Title The title of the messagess are displayed. It links to the detailed information.
Library The name of the hall will be displayed. When the name of the hall is not displayed, the entire building is covered.
【Information for you】
Item nameDescription
E-mail addressYour email address used for the services is displayed.
Delay situationIf you have overdue book, message will be shown.
Layaway situationIf there is a book on layaway, message will be shown.
Inter library loan request and document delivery noticeIf a copy or a book you requested has arrived, message will be shown.
Other messagesMessages from library to you is shown here.

2-2.Customization setup

It enables you to customize the layout of WEB Service top screen.
you can choose whether or not to display of the contents, and change the order.

2-3.How to customize

  1. Click the [Customization setup] on the WEB Service top screen, the Customization setup screen will be displayed.
  2. Delete unnecessary content : Select the contents in "Display contents" and click the [Deletion] button.
  3. Add content to display : Select the contents in "Contents which can be displayed" and click the [Addition] button.
  4. Change the order : Click [▲], [▼] button to change the order.
  5. Please push [registration] button, if a setup is completed.

Change user information

1.To check user information

You can refer to the user information that are currently registered.

2.How to change user information

If you would like to change your information, "Contents Change of Registration" button after changing the contents of an item to correct.

Change password

1.Overview of change password

Only the user of library account can change the password used for WEB Service login.

2.Password management

2-1.To check "Change password" screen

2-2.How to change password

Input the new password after inputting the present password.
Input the new password twice to avoid typing errors.
When "Change password" button is clicked, "Change password completed" screen is displayed.

Lending situation

1.Overview of lending situation

The list of the material that you borrowing is displayed.
If the check box is displayed, it is possible to extend the due date.

2.Lending situation

2-1.To check "Lending situation" screen

【Display items】
Item nameDescription
Check boxSelect materials which you want to extend the due date.
When you have an overdue book or you have reached the number of limit for extending, it is not displayed.
When you click the check box on the top, all the materials are selected.
Due date[extended times]The due date and the number of extended times are displayed.
Title / AuthorThe title and author of material.
VolumeVolume of the material.
LocationThe whereabouts of the material.
Item IDID of the material.
Call no.Call number of the material.

2-2.How to extend the due date

It is possible to extend due date on "Lending situation" screen.
After selecting by the checkboxes of the materials which you would like to extend the due date, click "extension" button.
Click "Extension saved" button after confirming renewed due date on "Check the new due date" screen.

※You can't extend a due date in the following cases.

  1. When you have a overdue book.
  2. When you have reached the number of limit for extension.
  3. When the book has been reserved by other user.

Reservation situation

1.Overview of the reservation

It is possible to reserve the materials which other users are taking out.
You can check your reservation on "resevation situation" screen. Also it is able to cancel.

2.Reservation situation management

2-1.How to reserve

  1. Search a book with OPAC.
  2. If the book is reservable, "Reserve" button will be shown on the right side of "Holding" information.
  3. When "Reserve" button is clicked, "Login" screen is displayed.
  4. Inputting "User ID" and "password" on the user certification screen, and click "Login".
  5. When "Reserve" button under the holding information is clicked, reservation process is done and it transfers to the "Reservation situation" screen.

2-2.To check reservation situation

【Display items】
Item nameDescription
Check boxSelect materials which you want to cancel the reservation.
When you click the check box on the top, all the materials are selected.
StatusThe status of the material (Checked out, On layaway, etc.) are displayed.
Wating list Due dateThe due date of material which is being lent, and the order in all number of reservation are displayed.
On layawayLayaway period.
Title / AutherThe title and author of material which is being lent or reserved.
VolumeVolume of the material.
LocationThe whereabouts of the material.
Item IDID of the material.
Call no.Call number of the material.
Reserve dateThe day when you reserved the material.

2-3.How to cancel a reservation

After selectiong by the checkboxes of the materials which you would like to cancel the reservation, click "cancel" button on "Reservation situation" screen.
However, it is impossible to cancel the reservation for the material which is being kept already.


Book request

1.Overview of book request

It is possible to apply for the books purchase, when the library doesn't hold it.

2.Book request

2-1."Book request" screen

When "New book request" button at the top of the screen is clicked, "New book request" screen is displayed.
The request situation of the application that a login user performed in the past is displayed on "Books purchase request situation and the history" at the bottom of the screen.
It is possible to switch the display to "Loanable", "Not accepted" , "Being processed・Canceled" and "History" by clicking on the tab.

Details (Modify) buttonWhen the button is clicked, detailed information is displayed.
When the status is "Not accepted", "Modify book request" screen is displayed.

Reference IDReference number of book request.
Request dateThe day when you requested book purchase.
Cancel buttonWhen you select books by check box and click the button, the request can be canceled.
※1 The kind of【Status】are as follows.

Not acceptedProcessing has not done yet at the library.
It is possible to correct the contents or to cancel.
In preparationThe order is being prepared.
On orderIt is ordering.
Under arrangementIt is in the process of cataloging for library collection.
LoanableThe materials can be delivered.

2-2."New / Modify book request" screen

Input the following items necessary for a purchase request.

【Display item】Beside of the required items, a mark of "Required" is displayed.

Request dateThe day when you requested book purchase is displayed.
(In the case of a new request, it will show the date of today.)
Faculty / StudentUser type is displayed.
DivisionThe division of the purchase request user.

BudgetChoose a budget.
Expense itemChoose an expense item.
Input assistance buttonWhen you click this button, it is possible to change the display and non-display of "input assistance" area.
Search OPACWhen the button is clicked, search the holdings of Library, and import bibliographic information.
The search is performed by NCID, ISBN or title.
Search CiNii Books button When the button is clicked, search the data of CiNii Articles, and import bibliographic information.
The search is performed by NCID, ISBN or title.
TitleInput the title of the book.
AuthorInput the author or the editor of the book.
EditionInput the edition of a book.
VolumeInput the volume of a book (Vol.1 , No.2, etc.) when there is information about it.
PublisherInput the publisher of a book.
Publication yearInput the Publication year of a book.
ISBNInput ISBN without hyphens.
NCIDInput NCID.
PriceInput the price of the book.
CopyInput the number of copies you need.
CommentPlease fill in the budget code (name, code) on this column when your budget is not found.
Please describe it when you request the books for the library.
To confirmation screen buttonWhen the button is clicked, "Confirm book request" screen is displayed after checking input items.
Clear buttonWhen the button is clicked, the contents of the input field is reset to the initial state.

2-3.Confirmation screen

The contents inputted on "New book request" screen are displayed.
Click "Request" button to apply for the request.
Click "Back to entry screen" button to return to "New book request" or "Modify book request" screen.

2-4.Detailed screen

The detailed information about the material which clicked "details" button in "Books purchase request situation and the history" is displayed.
Click "Back" button to return to "Book request" screen.

2-5.Completion screen

When Request is normally registered, matters below will be displayed.
A reference ID when a book purchase request was received is displayed.
Click “Back to list” button to return to "Book request" screen.
When “Take over to new request” button is clicked, "New book request" screen is displayed while maintaining the request contents input just before.
When “New request” button is clicked, "New book request" screen is displayed.

ILL request

1.Overview of ILL request

You can request materials for other libraries when our library does not have it.
It's called "ILL" for the initials of "Inter Library Loan".

2.ILL request management

2-1.Inter library loan request screen

If you want an ILL request, click "New document photocopy request" or "New book loan request" button at the top of the screen.
The request situation that login user performed in the past is displayed at the bottom of the screen.
It is possible to switch the display to "Deliverable", "Not accepted・Remand", "Being processed・Canceled" and "History" by clicking on the tab.

DeliverableSince photocopy or book you requested is arrived, it is in status where we can hand over it.
On borrwing(Loan request only)You are borrowin material.
Return(Loan request only)The material had been sent back to the possesing library.
CancelThe request has been refused by circumstance.

New application and modification of an ILL request.

Search CiNii ArticlesWhen the button is clicked, search the database of CiNii Articles and import bibliographic information.
Book / JournalChoose "Book" or "Journal".
Book / Journal titleInput the title of a book or journal.
AuthorInput the author or the editor of a book.
ISBN / ISSNInput ISBN or ISSN without hyphens.
NCIDInput NCID.
PublisherInpu the publisher name.
VolumeInput the volume of a material (Vol.1 No.2, etc.) when there is information about it.

Source of referenceChoose the confirmed authority of the book or journal.

To confirmation screen buttonWhen the button is clicked,”Confirmation" screen is displayed after checking input items.
Clear buttonWhen the button is clicked, the contents of the input field is reset to the initial state.

2-3.Confirmation screen

The contents inputted on application forms are displayed.
Click "Request" button to apply for the request.
Click "back to entry screen" button to return to "New request" or “Modify request" screen.

2-4.Detailed screen

The detailed information about request which clicked “details” button in "Request lists" in " Inter library loan request" screen is displayed.
Click "Back to list" button to return to "ILL Request lists".

2-5.Completion screen

When ILL request is normally registered, the matters below is displayed.
A reference ID when ILL request was received is displayed.
Click "Back to list" button to return to "Inter library loan and document delivery".
When "Take over to new request" button is clicked, the information of the previous request will be taken over.
When "New request" button is clicked, application form of all blank will displayed.

The list of the material that has been borrowed up to now is displayed.
